NORTH DALMATIA ITINERARY - FROM VERUDELA TO KAMENJAK





Day 1 & 2: Verudela
From Verudela in the direction to island Lošinj. During the voyage we will see Porec (lighthouse on the end of peninsula Kamenjak) and litle island called Fenulika. We will take a time here for bathing in crystal clean sea, or maybe for examination dinosaurs footsteps on island. Than we will sailing across the bay of Kvarner, against Mali Lošinj. There we will pass the night, but first a nice dinner and a lot of fun in old city.
Day 3: Silba
This day is reservation for sailing against to Silba. Attention! Never drink domestic vine on Silba, becouse poeple say, if you find the reed there, you find the needle in hay.
Day 4: Island Ist
From Silba, past island Ist, trought straits beetwen Ist and Malat to Dugi otok. IST, an island in the Zadar archipelago, north of the island of Molat, separated from it by the Zapuntel strait; area 9.65 sq km; population 237. It was mentioned in the 10th century by Constantine Porphyrogenitus. Along the island are two ranges of hills separated from each other by a narrow valley. The island consists of limestone and partly of dolomite. An average annual air temperature is - 14 °C, in January 5 °C and in July 23 °C. In the west Ist is surrounded by the island of Skarda and several islets. The coast is mainly steep and covered with thick underbrush, except in the southern part.
Day 5: Tunarica bay
From Dugi otok to Osor and beetwen Cres and Lošinj against to Tunarica bay.
Day 6: Kamenjak
From Tunarica to Kamenjak, where we will bathing for the last time on this trip. After bathing we will go back to marina. Kamenjak is the most southern end of Istrian peninsula located near Medulin popular tourist resort, and Banjole and Premantura villages. Kamenjak is long, narrow peninsula, about 9.5 km long and as wide as 1.5 km. It has been proclaimed as nature park and it is under special protection. The entrance is charged a few Kunas.
The entire coastline of the cape is 30 km long dotted with numerous inlets, coves miniature beaches and small islands. There are many dirt roads and paths all over the peninsula leading to the most hidden areas.
Kamenjak is especially attractive for diving enthusiasts because of its fascinating underwater world. Windsurfers also discovered this place and set their base in Premantura.
Day 7:
Getting up in the morning and back to reallity.
